Mary’s passion for wellness was fueled by a personal health crisis and by experiencing the loss of both parents at an early age. Over many years she studied with wellness practitioners and coaches, read piles of wellness books, and devoured any information in the area of wellness. When she started cleaning up her diet to feel better, Mary accidentally dropped nearly 25 pounds of weight and 28 points of LDL cholesterol (the bad kind), and learned firsthand that simple changes in diet and lifestyle can have a powerful impact on our health and wellness. Compelled by her experiences, Mary went back to school. She is now a Certified Health Coach via the Integrative Institute of Nutrition in New York City, the world’s largest nutrition school and a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
No stranger to corporate America, Mary graduated Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a Bachelors of Science and worked for corporate giants such as General Mills Restaurant Group & SC Johnson Professional. As the eighth member of a start-up company, she rose to VP and led her teams to multiple-vendor awards for her multi-million dollar portfolio of customers, including JCPenney, DiverseyLever and Johnson Controls. The start-up dream was realized when the business was successfully sold to investors.
Mary loves helping busy professionals and entrepreneurs reclaim their lives with food and lifestyle changes so they look and feel their personal best. She coaches private and corporate clients one-on-one, in groups, and through workshops and speaking engagements. The year 2015 marked the launch of her first book, Lifestyling Wellness. When she’s not coaching, Mary enjoys family, yoga, photography, singing-especially live jazz, cooking healthy meals and learning about something different and new in the area of wellness. She can be found lifestyling wellness with her husband and pet parrot in Carmel, IN.
